Dell, one of the largest multinational computer technology companies, analysed the current scenario when it comes to PC adoption and usage and realized that PC penetration in India stands as less as 10%. To expand their customer base besides IT Professionals and to promote adoption of computer usage in the education sector, Dell teamed up with Krayon to help spread the importance of the PC in education and the knowledge of how to use a PC for educators across India (Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities).
Aarambh is a pan-India PC for Education initiative engineered to enhance learning using the power of technology; it is designed to help parents, teachers and children find firm footing in Digital India. This initiative seeks to connect parents, teachers and students and provide them with the necessary training so that they can better utilise the PC for learning, both at school and at home.
Dell Aarambh does this through digital literacy training and certification programs. In association with NIIT, we are conducting basic, intermediate and advanced level training programs in educational institutes across India (Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities) and have certified 1,00,000 teachers from over 5,000 schools across 70 cities.
